FAQ
What is KLINCH?
KLINCH is a browser-based AI coding environment. You connect a GitHub repository and any OpenAI-compatible model; an agent reads and edits the code, and you review the diff before anything is committed.
Is KLINCH free?
Yes, KLINCH is free during the beta. You bring your own model API key, so model usage is billed by your provider directly.
Which AI models can I use?
Any model behind an OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions API: OpenAI, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Kimi, Strax or a self-hosted gateway. You can add several providers and models.
Can the agent push to my repository?
No. The agent can only propose a commit. You accept or reject each changed file, and KLINCH creates one commit for the accepted set.
Where is my API key stored?
On the server, encrypted with AES-256-GCM and bound to your account. Provider requests are made server-side; the browser only sees the last four characters.
Do I need to install anything?
No. KLINCH runs in the browser and on Cloudflare Workers. Sign in with GitHub or Google, connect a repository and start.
Which languages and frameworks are supported?
The agent works with any text-based code the model understands. Built-in syntax validation covers JSON, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS and HTML; other checks run in your CI.
