KLINCH vs GitHub Copilot
Copilot is GitHub's own AI assistant, sold as a subscription. KLINCH is an independent workspace where you bring the model and the key.
Model choice
Copilot offers the models GitHub makes available on your plan. KLINCH works with any OpenAI-compatible endpoint: OpenAI, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Kimi, or a self-hosted gateway inside your company.
Billing
Copilot is billed per seat by GitHub. With KLINCH you pay your model provider per token, and KLINCH itself is free during the beta.
Review before commit
KLINCH never pushes on its own. Every change is a diff you accept or reject per file, and the commit is created only after you confirm.
Use them together
They are not exclusive. Many developers keep inline completions in their editor and use KLINCH for repository-wide tasks from the browser with a model of their choice.
